The maintenance technician trainee will learn how to repair operating equipment as well as other equipment throughout the plant. This position will train with the lead mechanic until they have received enough education and can complete the job tasks independently. Experience with Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, Semi-Truck Repair and Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Machine/General Equipment Maintenance, Shop Maintenance are preferred but not required.

*Upon completion of training the employee will relocate to one of the company’s other plant locations!*

Salary range: $15-20/hr 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Grasping and gripping

- Carrying 80 pounds

- Manual and foot controls

- Lifting variable weights

- Pushing and pulling a variable weight on a level surface.

- Bending wrists

- Standing/walking

- Kneeling

- Twisting and bending

- Occasional crouching

MACHINE/EQUIPMENT/TOOLS USED:

- Welder

- Machine Shop equipment/tools

- Auto Mechanic tool

Other requirements:
-High School Diploma Required,
-Associates degree in maintenance field preferred,
or a combination of education and work experience
-Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment
-Must be willing to relocate upon completion of training
